hey guys well i'm playin with the idea of swaping motor's i've just got a lil baby 96 2.2L 3 speed automagic right now, and i can get my hands on a 99 2.4L i was just wondering what i'd have to swap over, i kno the 2.4L can only use a 5 speed tranny on it b/c thats what it came out of, and it comes wit all the wiring, basically a complete engine! so i'd have to drill holes for the 5 speed conversion and @!#$ but will it work? just a basic swap in

Jeff, dont worry about getting it mounted, thats no problem for me, what I need to know is about the wiring. Chances are that I will need an interior harness aswell since its going from a ladymatic to a 5 speed and its a 96 vehicle with a 99 engine. Can somebody shed some light on this please?

im thinkin about tryin to do the same kind of motor/tranny swap but i have a 2000 cav w/a weak lil 2200 and an auto 4spd... is it possible to just do a basic sort of plug and play kind of motor/tranny swap w/a 2.4l and manual 5spd? or what kind of things would i need to change out inorder for this kind of motor swap to work for my application???
