iam getting 11.1: compression forged pistons and rods. iam also getting it borded .020 over with a ported head and all bolt ons.

so am i going to have to upgrade my fuel system for this setup or will i be fine with the stock setup.
i will also have hp-tuner so i guess i could just see if it running lean.
but do you think ill need a upgraded fuel system as in injectors and fuel pump? mabey a fuel rail ?
i will probley need to run at least 90 octane right?

Thanks
Paul

A well-maintained stock fuel system SHOULD hold up okay if you're keeping the engine all motor. All you're really doing is upping the compression so you won't be demanding too much from the fuel system. But yeah, you're going to want to run probably 91octane with compression that high. I don't know what's available in your part of Iowa but here in Des Moines we get 93 octane for the VR4s at Walmart. And if that's not available we just buy 89 or 91 and toss in some octane booster. With the HPT software you can pull some timing out if you have to run a lower octane and the engine doesn't like it.
