yes, i searched and all i could find was people installing cruise control

so is it possible? what has to be done? help me out and you'll get a cookie thanks

well if you do get rid of it ill take your wiring and trade you control arm on steering wheel...

Hey, i already got first dibs.

There is alot of wiring involved, however, your gonna need a another stalk to fully get rid of cruise.

Why would you want to take it out for? Its the reason i got my Sunfire instead of an 02 Base Cavalier.

i want to take it out because i dont use it, and its just another thing in the engine bay. does anyone have info on this? at all? thanks again

Yup, all you have to do is take out the cruise control box and disconnect the wire from the throttle body.

i cant get the ^$&O(* throttle cable off!!!!! its disconnected from the throttle body but i cant get it off of the bracket thats just above it. theres a plastic piece thats got it locked in there somehow. am i just an idiot or what lol....you dont have to answer that last part lol

Mumbles Idiot... JK man. It is easy just press the tabs together and then it will slide through the bracket. It should be fairly easy.

Yes its possible but its stupid. if you consider the cruise control system clutter, your more anal than any OCD person I know.

Cruise control is one of the greatest inventions ever.

why have it there if im not going to use it?...while someone else can ^_^...someone gets what they want, and i get what i want + money lol anyway

the control box and cable are out, anyone know anything about the gas and break switches?..or anything else for that matter? thanks for the help so far

Add an intake and lose another $100+, and a full exhaust and lose another $250 +. So where were you going with that point?

im not reselling this car, im the last owner so i dont care...period

so does anyone have any info on removing the rest of the system? switches/whatever? or are ppl just gonig to keep criticising me?
