Wednesday, June 28, 2006 2:33 PM
Ok here is my sad story, My friends and i beat the crap out of my 03 sunfire till after 65k of this the ecotec lost a rod out the side of the block.
Now i need to chnge the engine and i don't think the trans is very good either so i might as well do both right? so someone told me to put the 2.0 S/c eco in it, is this possable is it hard and most of all is it worth it? thanks for the help i really need it

the 2.0 SC out of a cobalt will fit. ut the tranny wont. and its a fly by wire for throttle body.

you dont you get a 2.2 ecotec, tranny, and get the GM supercharger on it

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!

use the gawt dam search button you lazy fawk nut

also look in the boost fourm , there is problems with the 2.0 head clearing the master cyl

for the money its not worth it , easier to get the gm eco s/c kit , and put it on your 2.2eco

Funny you tell me to search because i'm lazy..... whats your point? you can't even read
i said "most of all is it worth it?" that was the biggest thing i was asking omg and sence i need to change the engine too i thought that might make it a better idea then if i had a perfect 2.2

cause that subject must have been discuss 1000times since the engine is out. That question was asked BEFORE the engine was out.

imo.....unless you plan to run a buttload of hp and rpm and have the finances to back it up......just throw some forgend internals in the 2.2, get the gm s/c kit and call it a day. you will have less headackes and just as much fun

and i just have a suggestion.... dont piss off the people who are going to answer your questions, or maybe even help you out when you have a real problem with your car.
