i want to order the DC sport header, but im wondering if by bolting it right up to the catback exhaust and using no cat, if i willl get any CEL or error codes because its running rich?
i want to make sure i dont murder my gas mileage. i want to evetually get a high flow cat installed, but dont know when i will have $$ to do so, so i was going to bolt the dc header up and use it for now.
also ive heard that on the pacesetter header the upper bung is too long and some have to be cut, is this the same way with the dc header>?
thanks

That will throw a code because you have no cat, regardless of what other codes it MAY throw.

cat code doesnt effect milage
you will get a cat code if you run no cat , doesnt matter what header you have
dc does supply a o2 fitting in the cat eliminator pipe , and you can use the spark plug fouler trick , or put a plug in it and use a o2 simulator
well i dont throw a code on my 96 2.2 when i unpluged the rear o2 sensor and ran no cat.

'96 was a weird year, there are some around here that didn't even have 2ndary O2 sensors, and others that have removed them like you and no codes. It's not the norm though.

Check this link for O2 sims, these guys make the ones RKsport sells, but sell for cheaper.
