What does all your j-bodys red-line at, if and when they were or are stock. So what does a stock 2000 cavalier with the 2.2 red-line at in neutral?? let me know. Thanks

Auto, they are blocked at 4000 rpm on neutral. otherwsie it's around 6200rpm.

Like 3700 to 4000 rpm. BUT why in gods name are you reving in neutral.

Lol. Stock jbodies that i have memcals for rev at 3950 for auto, or 4000 and manual's at 6280.

Now modified binaries i've built can rev up to 12,000 which is the number we were shooting for to find out at what speed a 2.2LN2 will throw a rod. Currious enough, the car didn't throw a rod but blew it's head gasket at 9500. My question is, can the oil additive we added have actually protected the rods?
