its in the bundle of wires that plug into the coil pack (the large black plastic piece on your engine).

DO NOT CUT THE WIRE. Use an box cutter to strip a half inch of insulation off the wire and solder it on.

theres an orange and a white... either work for a half tach signal.

dont cut wires, cutting wires is bad.

At least your being honest.

I think the wire is white and connected to your coil pack, depending on your year of car it will either be near the top or the back bottom of the engine.

If your shift light/tach has 1 pulse, your ok. If it has 2 pulse and higher, pm me and we can work out what resistor network you'll have to change to get it to work right.

<---- doing custom rebuilds on tach's to make them naturally jbody compatible.

THis was already answered. It is the WHITE wire on the ICM (silver thing with the heat sink on the TOP of the motor.) Set it to 1 pulse and have fun with an ACCURATE shiftlight and tach.

Link to what? If you want the shiftlight I can get it for you for $130.00 plus shipping. Don't have a link handy though.

Tachometer purple/white ac engine harness
Notes: The engine harness is found next to the battery, below the
radiator hose, just above the transaxle.
