OKay I need to get my guages all wired up now that I finished my FG bezzel, how do I get the vacumm line through the firewall safely and the oil pressure guage?

Just like you would run a power wire for an amp.
There is a boot for the steering column under the dash, just make a slit and run them through there.
actually you use the 1 to the left of the steering column(as your sitting in the car)
its the 1 the car's main harness uses
just poke a hole in the rubber grommet and push the lines through
under the dash, back against the firewall there is a round rubber piece, this is where the factory wiring harness passes. puncture a little hole with a screwdriver or somthing, and run the lines through there.

you said the steering column boot
that isnt the best 1 to use
if you go towards the outside of the car , there is the boot the stock electric harness runs through , that is the best 1 to use

Hey, whose durr? I had to tell you what an intake manifold was, lol.
Thanks guys, just wasnt sure where a good place to go through was.
97Cavi2.4LS - To do the oil pressure guage, now that I have an engine on my stand in my garage I understand how it works. Will there be oil in the line or just pressure? I am talking about the factory hole on the back of the 2.4 block.
Thanks

with the motor off , there will be no pressure , and a little oil will come out
i had my pressure gauge in my 97 hooked up off the block near the timing cover
bad pic cause you can barely see the line behind the oil drain back line
better pic cause you get a over all view , its the small copper line , just below the water pump
once the line is hook up and the car is running oil will be flowing up the line to the gauge

lmao, you got me, thats true, i guess some people are better at different things, put an engine infront of me and watch me tremble, but wiring on the other hand im good at.

I hear ya, I have done two engine swaps on J verts, and personally built my own motor, give me wires and I cringe.

not to jack the thread or anything (assuming that the original post has been answered) can we talk about my guage woes?
I am a self admited wiring newbie and I have a volt meter and an air/fuel ratio guage to hook up. the thing I am not sure of is which wire in the dash to hook the yellow wire of the volt meter to.
Also the a/f ratio says to use a 5 amp fuse to a 12v source that is turned on and off with the ignition. Would this be thru my MSD now?
If you have a 5spd, use the large grommet around the clutch actuator arm... be sure to run the wires away from any pinch points.
i just drilled a small hole into my firewall and ran the wire out that way.

Both of those installs have been covered here ad-nauseum. Search the interior and audio forums as well as this one. I know the info is available.
