To expand on that^^^

No compatibilty in the least. It would take tons of work to just get the 2.4 head to bolt on, not the mention the fact that you'd then have 3 cams (1 in block from the 2.2, 2 in head from the 2.4) and i doubt piston clearances would work in any way either.

perhaps you should look at how engines work before you ask such a question

You need to take your own advice and skip out on your smart ass remarks.

if you know more about engines than we do, then you shouldn't have bothered asking.

Thanks for playing though, don't let the door hit you where longcat split ya.

Ok, lets have a real explaination why it wont work.

1) The 2.4 TWINCAM head is almost twice the size of the 2.2 Overhead valve

2) Single over head valve puts the cam in the bottom of the engine, not the top.

3) Twin cam is like DOHC, dual over head cam, they sit at the top of the engine just under the valve cover.

4) The 2.2 uses plug wires and seperate ac delco style ignition coils.

5) The 2.4 uses Direct ignition by way of Gel packs, It has no sparkplug wires.

6) The intake manifold on the 2.2 is behind the engine and the header in the front.

7) The 2.4 has its IM in the front and header in the rear.

I think thats just the beginning on the differances other then the 2.2 is a pushrod motor while the 2.4 is not.

Now compare: This early pic of Queen Z's engine and the engine in my sig. Queens being a 2.4 and mine being the 2200.
