silicone coupler's, different colors?????
Thursday, March 02, 2006 12:11 PM
Hey, i have a wai (vibrant) on my 2200, vibrant wai for the 2200 comes with the blue couplers, i was wondering if there is a place that sells them in diffrent colors.
I would like a few green ones, or even red, i dont want blue, it does not match anything for my sunfire; anyone know where you can buy them or if they can be painted somehow with special paint, lol, i know that is dumb, lol.
Thanks.....

Silicone can not be painted without it chipping. Go on ebay and buy some...they have them in any color you pretty much want. Search on ebay for silicone coupler and the size you want

Well as most know you pay for what you get; here where i live the vibrant warm air intake for the 2200 is around 115-130 canadian dollers.
It looks good under the hood for shows; sounds better then a stock air box; performnace gain's; ummmmmm not really noticable, maby a bit; but i think its all in your head because you are expectting to feel a difference.
I t would be nice if someone with a 2200 and the vibrant wai dynoed before and right after; but yeah overall i would get one foresure; but if i could do over i would get my intake coming right off the throttle body to get rid of the 2200 box under the hood.
$40, that was probally us as well, @!#$; i will stick with my blue coupler, lol.
Thanks fellows.....

Much better prices, that other place is gauging the crap out of you. These guys have just about everything you'd need, elbows, couplers, reducers etc...

Its really good stuff too. My little brother used their vacuum lines to redo the A4 1.8T he's rebuilding. I used one of their couplers on my cold air intake becuase when I wanted blue instead of black.

I just checked their site and the 90degree elbow red 3"ID is:
Suggested Retail Price: $45.00
Our Low Price: $46.97

"our low price" is higher than "suggested price"!!!!!!!!!!!!
still too much when ebay sell these for 10$.....

elbows are always more expensive that site does have different colors tho. Also on e-bay your not going to know the actual temperature capabilities of the couples.

E-bay silicone may be fine for an intake, but in a boosted application you would want to know what your getting into.

I guess it would be 3" diameter that would fit (fairly snug) around or throttle bodies right? I'm at work so I can't go measure, or I would just do that instead of asking
