Ok so I have the 2.3 manifold hooked up all vac lines are on etc. double triple checked I am running at 5000 RPM at idle throtle cable is loose TB is closed could it be soemthing to do with not having the EGR even though it is blocked?
check your fuel injectors, i had the same problem, when i installed my intake one of the injectors was lifted up sucking in air, chek them
what sensors are you using, and where are they all located.

You are sucking in A LOT of air that you aren't supposed to be. Check the bottom of the intake manifold for open ports. There are some pretty large one you have to block off on most of the castings. You may also have a warped flange or something, check the mating surfaces.

the sensors are all the same the only difference at all is the manifold so I dont understand there is no leaks on the bottom all are plugged it was on another 3rd gen 2.4 I was told it was bolt on but I'm starting to give up I will check the injectors I never thought of that
so your using the 2.4 TB then? or your using the 2.4 sensors on the 2.3 TB?

make sure you moved the ground bolt/stud that was down by the starter on the block..... that will keep the manifold from sealing to the head, and cause a huge vacuum leak....... any open ports on the t/b that you didnt plug? is your brake booster line hooked up?

2.4 TB 2.4 Sensors every thing is plugged yet again i say this brake booster is hooked up every vac etc. ground is moved as well
It has to be a vacuum leak somewhere... Try spraying some WD40 around the intake if the RPMs pick-up there is a leak there...
Knowledge about everything and yet an expert of nothing!!
Jack of all trades.
Which way did you clock the 2.4 TB? There's only one way it will work, and still seal on the bottom. otherwise, it's got an open hole.
I did that the first time
TB is clockeed corectly... (Lenko, this our old manifold) but Speedy might be on to something... cut that bolt off and see if it lines up better.
I'm personally stumped, there is a big ass leak somewhere but Justin says everything is good.
Good luck bro, the HO manifold is sweet once its working properly
That's a whore of a HO manifold
I got it from Jas originally! LOL
Yes the ground bolt/stud need to be swapped.. otherwise it won't fit flush to the head.
