i hit 9 psi in my z24 cavalier, and now the check engine light is on, i had it checked and its the o2 sensor and the knock sensor. please let me know what the knock sensor means? and is it bad, how do i fix it? thanx

What octane are you running? What is your a/f ratio that you are maintaining? When you're out of boost, is your engine making any odd noises?

What happend was that you basically detonated and because of that you through a code. Now, you could have a minor detonation that will cause very little to no damage or you could have detonation to basically say "bye bye" to your motor. Since you're running boost, the biggest reasons of detonating is running lean and not using high enough octane. If you hear or notice anything different about your motor, you probably caused some damage.

One last question, did you get a popping or stuttering when you were at 9 PSI?

no, no noise's no pops runs fine and normal, i got gas (91 octane) at a @!#$ty gas station, but it seems to run fine
