Which one?

Ok guys, i need some quick advice and help. I have selected out 2 cat-back systems for my 97 chevy cav, 2.2L engine. They are:

http://gravanatuning.com/applications/1997_Chevrolet_Cavalier_Coupe_2.2.aspx/2/121/_Exhaust_Magnaflow_Single_Exit_Stainless_Cat_back_Exhaust

and

http://www.autoanything.com/products/product_gnn.aspx?p_id=1835&se=magnaflow_exhaust_cat_back_system___single_exit

Does anyone have any experience with either of them, and know which is better. I wan a nice deep growl, and already have a cat conv. on the way. Also if possible can anyone let me know where i can get a nice DC sports exhaust header as well....

Don't get either, too expensive, just get a nice magnaflow muffler or muffler of your choice and have a shop install custom piping. It will save you some $$$. You also might consider investing in a resonator if you want a nice deep raspy free sound.

Listen to this guy. You're better off getting it made custom. That way you can pick your muffler (longer is quieter), and also you can get a resonator as well. The magnaflow catback doesnt come with a resonator, and I know a few people with it, and honestly it sounds like crap. So you can get a resonator too (again longer is quieter), custom bent pipes, muffler and a tip, and you're looking at ~450CAD (thats what like ~420US?) after everythings said and done. Everything stainless too. Just do some looking around, you'll thank yourself in the long run.

I have this magnaflow muffler as a resonator, and this Borla muffler as my main muffler. Then I finished it off with this tip. The outcome is a very nice system. I even get compliments from the local muscle car guys.

So gorilla, did you just buy these parts and then have it installed with custom fitted piping? But how do you use a muffler as a resonator, isnt that going to rob you of performance gains? anyone else do this, or is this a good idea? also gorilla how does it sound, and do you have any picstures of it?

is that a good idea gorilla, if i use another muffler as a resonator? wouldnt that decrease performance?

Nah, nothing to worry about. Any kind of straight-through mufflers really have no performance influence. If you want to go that route, it'll be fine. In fact, I bet Gorilla's system sounds pretty f**kin good.

You got a sound clip by chance, Gorilla?

^^^I will soon enough. My piping is from the RK Sport single-exit catback I bought a few years back. It sounded nice, but I wanted something quieter and different, so I bought the resonator and muffler and had them welded to the existing pipes. And yes, LD9 Fury, IMO it sounds really effing nice and I get nothing but positive comments about it.
