This may seem like a stupid question but I want to make sure. When I bought my Cavalier the guy had a custom CAI. I was going to buy a CAI that was actually made for the car. Here is the my question.
On example 1B I believe this is the IAT he just used silicone to hold it into place.
On example 1A shows a tube that is the same as examples 2A and 2B. He has this plugged up with a plastic piece.
My question is on the second picture it shows two of the small tubes along with two rubber hoses. I do not understand this part. Am I suppose to cut one of the stems and put a rubber grommet to hold the IAT? Then cap off the second? For reference the CAI is one I found off ebay. Most of the ones I seen are the same set-up. Am I just missing something all together? I don't mind doing the modifying just don't want it to be the wrong intake. Thanks in advance to any and all advice.

Thank you I appreciate the link.
I have noticed most of the air intakes for the 2.2s are as pictured above in my original post. The 2.4s have the grommet for the IAT. So my question still is would I just need to cut off on of the stems and put in a grommet?Or would a 2.4 intake somehow work on my 2.2?
