ok i plan on starting my true build here in a month or 2 cause my lady finally got herself a job... woo hoo. so i dont really have to throw money her way anymore. anyway. my car is a 99 2200 with almost 150,000 miles on it and im wanting to go n/a then a 50-75 shot of nitrous. so i was wondering if i should buy a new 2200 engine or just buy a spare head and build it.
i know that rebuild kits for a 2200 dont cost all that much but i dont really want alot of down time on my car cause it is a daily driver. so any suggestions would be grand.

well if you want to run nitrous on a high mileage motor, it's not the head that will go boom, it's the bottom end.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
so should i get a rebuild kit?

so what should i do then?

yeah i would get a rebuild kit, with the 150,000 miles your cylinders are most likely out of round so you will most likely want to have it bored out. you really have to get the engine out and have a look at it and take measurements to be sure.. at the VERY least i would throw a complete set of bearings, rings, and seals at it.. if you have it bored you will need over-sized pistons as well
looks like i need to go to the yard and rip out a spare 2200 to build up. guess mileage really doesnt matter.

ill have a 2200 for sale in about a month bro and alreay pulled
Its a 2002 2200. CHEAP
I'd buy a low milage 2.2 and spray on it stock,

Get an ECO or a 2.4 , then boost the crap out of it
.
^^no way... thats dumb. 500-800 dollars just for the engine. then the wiring harness and all that would be a bitch meaning mine is just a 99= not @!#$ worth it.

^^yo phlat how many miles? how about $150 dollars.
JBO'S Mr. 64.....
