Hi, here's the deal, I installed mine today, once the belt was back on, I noticed that the belt was slacker than before. And now I have this stupid belt noise.....
Anyone that have this pulley changed the belt for a smaller one???? The car running like normal, but I don't want to belt to burn or break.... If you have the size of the stocker or the size of the new one it will be great (I don't have A/C, so the belt only going crank - alt - bender). Thanks!!!
If it's a smaller pulley, they should have at least included a new belt with the pulley. Hmmm... RSM pulley FTW
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
If the RSM pulley was the same size it would make thing easier, but I don't know the size from ccg or the rsm one. I read a lot that you keep the stock belt with the ccg pulley (which I have), but I won't stand this dumb noise more than a week!!!
RSM's pullies are stock sized

Yeah I forgot about that, the worst is that I was looking for the rsm one before deciding to go for the ccg....
custom car grilles is only slightly smaller. i picked up a new stock belt when i put mine on because the stock belt was looking a bit worn. i've had no problems with belt noise on my ccg pulley.
I'll check for a new one, but my car only have 25 902km... but I'll see!!!
I didnt need a new bet with the ccg pulley. The stock belt was fine. No noise, but I also have ac if it makes any diffrence.
BACK FROM THE DEAD!!!! okay I went to get my pulley installed (didn't feel like doing it) the CCG one is slightly smaller so they didn't do it. Does anyone know the side belt needed to install or the belt size for the stock one if i can use that one? Also anyone have any problems since the CCG one isn't balanced?
Thanks

Ok, where to start. The CCG pulley is smaller than the 2.2 eco in the cavalier. They designed it for the Early 2.2 eco in the 2000-2002 Saturn L-Series. I believe they are a copy of "Boers" design from 2003. It just happens to fit the 2.2 eco in cavs, sunfires, cobalts, ions, HHRs, and I am sure I forgot some. Some of the dimensions are a little off, I do not recall which are. I might have it written down at home. I also remember some kind of balancing issue they had, where the pulleys where out of round, but I believe that was fixed in mid 2003. Look in some old Saturn forums.
I personally, being bias, do not like the design, but I am bias. I do not like how the oil pump cam lobe is on the snout of the pulley, and the total lack of material in the web. Yes it is light, but I rather design one I "know" will hold up fine for years to come, and will not bend. Did I mention I am probably bias.

I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'
Riki, I'll contact Karo again, and see whats up.
