After a month of waiting they finally showed up at my door with COD, I didn't even know when they were coming(still mad about that) but they are here. I snapped some crappy pics of the 2.4 STIFFER valve springs and also my bronze valve guides and SS valves. I also got some stock brand new keepers but no pics of them yet.

Thanks Mastin I'll check out the sites you provided for the parts. On another note how much hp/tq gain from a ported & polished 2.4 head with oversize ss valves the springs like those pictured above a 3-5 angle valve job and the secret cams, extrude honed HO and a bigger tb with the OBX header.

Up to 20-30 whp over stock.

Just curious do the new springs have a larger diameter coil to them? Or do they look the same physically and just new looking?
You should really take them to the engine builders shop and have them compare the spring rate from stock to MP.
You may have a little supprise!

I know what you mean, I was so worried when I finally got them that they would be stock size. But their not, you can physically tell that the Mantapart ones are thicker from looking down on them, and looking at them from a side view. Sorry my camera sucks or else Id snap better pics for everybody. Once I drop the head off ill have them to the spring rating test to REALLY tell the difference.

I finally got my header order placed
But I talked with Karo about the springs, he had them tested and they were stiffer.
Didn't know where Manta was getting them from though.

Awesome! The last time i looked into it, for about a week i spent, there was nothing even close anywhere for a upgrade to the 2.4 valve train. Well besides valves and guides.
Being the conical shape and the smaller bucket for the lifter than on the 2.3L they cant be switched. LS1 engine came close but not close enough for our specifications.
Now the ecotec on the other hand, we will be carrying the entire Ferrea line

in im cecil county and i ordered them from a parts supplier from my dads shop for like 85 bucks for all

Just picked up my Clevite lifters.. My head is now complete minus the cams. Off to the machine shop it goes in a couple weeks..
