I was wondering my car has 90k miles on it should i waste my time, and if yes would flatblack primer look good on her? I wont be painting her anyother color just flatblack, because i like the mad max look.
depends on the mods. i wouldn't throw a turbo on stock internals with 90k miles. but an intake/header/exhaust probably isn't goin to hurt anything. it depends on what you want to do.
GO PATS!!!
i put my s/c on the car with just barely over 100,000 miles on it
and been beating the hell outta of it for the last 6,000 miles , and still taking every bit of abuse i toss at it
i got a 2.4 by the way
i dont want to race, did enough of that in my neon. I just want it to be kinda fast on the highway.
would flatblack be good for the cav? im not going to put a kit on it just f-1 fenders and im going to lower it, that all apperance wise.
in my opinion i think that the flat black would look good but i like that look . i wouldnt do it to my cav. but the factory paint is still in great shape. if you do do it dont forget about the rims. itll look cool at night. but thats my opinion and its your car so do whatever you like .
flat black

I understand the desire for the "Mad Max" look. Very cool movie. But don't you think it may come off more as a "I can't afford to paint my car" look to most people? Unless you slap big, white "Police", "Interceptor", and "Pursuit" graphics across your doors. Just a thought.

just remember, if the painnt job you have on now is half decent and you decide to do that to it..........if you were to suddenly up and sell it, what would pull in more money and more perspective buyers? an half decent factory color that can be restored with some wax or a car that was spraypainted primer. that and I HATE WITH A PASSION the whole cheap-o look. I would spend weeks wet sanding an old paint job before the thought of driving around like that would even become a mild consideration.
as fot the motor, do a compression check and examine the oil that comes out when you do your next oil change. that should tell you alot about what condition your internals are in
p.s., pulling you valve cove and taking a peak inside won't hurt either
its never too late to start modding...
