maybe its your right foot? haha j/k man...
i'd like to know aswell since i'm more than likely gonna put my mani in sometime this winter...
Is that the set you picked up from me?
Or the one I sold to someone, and you picked up from them.
Does it have the conversion flanges?
You're in York, i'm here too.
Give me a call or something.

dablackZ: i thought that at first until the other day when i gave it very little throttle to get up to speed and i still used 10 bucks in gas to work and back....used to be 5-7 could get me there and back for a day

Lack of pcv
Lack of egr
Could be a vacuum leak
And I assume you don't have your evap system hooked up.
All that could drop your mileage significantly.
Umm,
So you still put Chris's flange on there with the other ones that were already on there.
Remember,
The manifold already has 2 flanges from Exploited.
They welded, the aluminum on there, but then I had to get their garolite flange and that's the orange flange on there.
Then of course you needed to still use a 2.3L gasket.
I ended up buying 3 and cutting them up to match the head.
But if you're loosing milage, and using Chris's flange, I think you may have aded too much length to the runners.
So now you kinda have to step on it to get in the upper rpm range to get going.
Give me a call or something or I'll get on AOL IM now.

Short fat runners are for high hp, long skinny runners are for low end tq.
i didnt notice a loss at all...it seems to pull a tiny bit more down low and a bit harder at top.....i dont think lack of low end tq is the problem.
im switching 2 hoses around tomorrow....right now i have the fpr hooked to the tb instead of the nipple between the last 2 runners, im hoping that will fix at least most of it

That could be your problem. If the fpr vacuum source is before the T.B. plate it won't see any vacuum. Where you described you were going to put it is a good spot for that line.
So how did it turn out?
Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
ok, i moved the 2 hoses in question....the fpr to the nipple between the runners on the back of the mani and the sensor below the mani to the left across to the TB. I also fixed the kink in the brake booster hose. Still lost mileage, did my drive to NC like normal with as little getting on it as possible. Normally i get there with 1/4 tank, this time got there with a little less than an 1/8th. My main problem is stop and go, i can eat through more than a 1/4 tank on a day back and forth to work.
