I tried searching for a how to on the B&M shifter for the 03-05 cavalier, with no luck. I have little experience when it comes to messing with the shifter, any instructions would be great.
This will be my third mod, soon as i get this in ill start posting pics of my car for the first time.
So far, I have SRT-4 Wheels wrapped in 215-45-17's

The instructions that come with the shifter are pretty good. Just be prepared to saw off the old shift knob if you run into problems just pulling it off. Other than that the directions are pretty easy to follow.
The old knob comes off easier if you twist and pull at the same time. And B&M's instructions are great, whats giveing you a problem?

Here's what I did:
1) Read instructions.
2) Attempt instructions.
3) Realized starting at 9:30 on a Wednesday night was a bad idea.
4) Made appointment at Cartronics for Monday.
5) They finished what I started in a little over an hour.
6) I couldn't be happier with it.
Yeah 9:30 was prob a bad idea but hey now its done and you love it right ?
Just don't forget to trim the inside of the shifter boots base or the B&M will were a hole thru it. yes I speak from experence.

i started on mine last night and i still have the car ripped apart. ww how to is ok but my shifter is different (98 2200) so it wasnt like that. only thing i was worried about was gettin' the shift cables off the shifter. once that was done, it was pretty easy. i stopped cuz it was getting late (i started at like 9). all i have to do is just install the new one which looks pretty easy.
