What lifters are people using on the cam swap. I am going to be putting mine in another engine. My current engine is gone. So we are going to take out the cams and put in to the used engine i am getting. I didn't change my lifter last time and had no issues and i change my cams at about 36,000 miles. This used engine has 35,000 miles on it. I am wondering if i should change them or not.
I heard some people may be using the 2.3 lifters. Who has used them. Can i get them from Autozone or Discount Autoparts. Thanks

I heard you can use the 2.4 cams.. Ive heard that from JBP and Mantapart.. Ive emailed both with the same question.

no tapping it was just fine using the stock lifters. I may do the same a couple of us here in FL have the stock lifter with no problems at all.
i was just wondering if the lifter from the 2.3 would be better or the 2.4 lifters are fine.

Well,
You'd have to port the 2.4L cam carrier bores to 35mm.
But other than that, the normal 2.4l lifters are fine.

what about springs what car can i use them from. will they make a difference. Where can i get them from. Is there another 2.3 engine or quad engine i can get them from.

Springs are still 2.4L springs since its still the 2.4L head.
Mantapart stiffer springs if you can get them.
