well a while back i put in the 2.3 ho manifold, now i start the car, it idles great, runs great, once the car warms up it idles around 1800-2000 now this is the weird part if you push the ac button the car will idle from 500-900 and bounce up and down in the 500-900 range, take off the ac button and its back to 2000 rpm, any suggestions
Check the trottle cable. It may need to be reajusted.
yah i have checked the throttle cable and it is fine
It has to be getting more air to bump the idle up like that... maybe a leak in an intake gasket or something... check arround the intake manifold past the TB. Other than that i dont know what to tell ya.
make sure you have all of your vac. lines run correctly.....

Usually it would idle at a higher rpm when you turn on the AC becuase it takes fuel to power the AC system. Strange, I doubt it's a leak if it idles at a normal 500-900 when the AC is on.

no when you hit the ac the idle jumps from 500-900 back to 500 up to 900 until you hit the ac button agsin, i have checked for vacuum leaks around the throttle body, and intake manifold and i cant find anything
I had the same exact problem.one thing is for sure, i didnt have a Vacumm leak. I fixed it by changing all of my TB sensors; TPS and the IAC Sensor
it turns out my old sensors on my TB were faulty and the plunger on the IAC wouldnt do it's job. With the new sensors in I started it up, it ran like a champ. No more weird idle problems
tps sensor, i use the 2.4 right, iac, air intake sensor? yah ill give that a shot and try that, anything else that you can think of
i used all 2.3 sensors and they do fine the 2.4L IAC sensor is what is screwing you up, i used the 2.4 first and it did the same thing.
reset the IAC. Turn the car to on (not start), wait 10-15 seconds for it to reset. Then start it up.
so i can use the 2.3 iac sensor?
yes. its a 2.3 TB so that means it's ideal that you use the 2.3 IAC sensor . I had the 2.4 sensor for a while and gave me idle problems. Once i changed my IAC sensor to a 2.3 it worked good.
the iac sensor is right above the tps right. i used the iac sensor from the 2.3
