In a week or two, I will have about 2g's and I don't know whether to get a stick or build up my engine. I know I will do both eventually before the summer (planning on getting boost over summer) but I don't know which to choose first. Any opinions?

I guess it depends on the person. Maybe a while back I would have said the same thing but now that things are different I can honestly say if I had $2,000, I would build my own turbo kit and have a much bigger gain than swapping over a transmission. That's just me though...

Yeah I can get a good amount of performance gains with 2g's, but I can get good at manual by summer time when I get my turbo. I am so indecisive.
Speed or Drivetrain? GG so hard to choose.

Well my question is, have you talked to someone already and found a place that will actually do the swap? Alot of places don't like to do that to cars unless they are imports or something. Transmission swaps can be a pain even for Professionals.

I say do what im doing and do the tranny conversion first. I have a 96 z24 and am converting it to a manual using a 02 cavalier tranny and engine. i got it out of a totaled z24 and got an awsome deal 900 for engine 45 k mi, tranny, shifter, cables computer and everything that is needed for the swap for 900 and the job itself is only 400 i think its worth doing that first because if your like me youll burn through an automatic rapidly ive already gone through my 98's and now through this one so i say convert in order not to fry your tranny especialy if you feel like adding massive power as i ave planed
