I did a search and came up with nothing, I looked in FAQ and the links are dead, so where can I get the parts to do my own on a 2005 Cav

AEM is great for the money, highly recommended. If you want to save some dough by making your own, you can find straight and pre-bent sections of tubing from places like Vibrant Performance or even some local parts stores. I made mine for under $100 including the filter, and it works just as well.

452 results, you might want to learn the search button better.

Or you can try Ebay, for a cheap prebent pipe. About $50. Or a spectra pipe like me for about $80-100, or just go to an exhaust shop, ask for mandrel bent 2.25" pipe for your intake. Then paint to make pretty.

i went to the exhaust shop and got a 3" mandrel bent tube @ a 90* angle for $25 bucks. It was long enough to run to the fender-well where I cut a 6x8" hole. Then I went to lowe's and bought a piece of sheet metal, bent and cut it so it was flush with the fender and made that my "box" so the intake was sure to suck in only cold air from outside the car. The sheet metal cost $5 and the filter was another $25 from autozone. I had an extra silicone connector laying around from when I had my turbo cars and used that to connect it to the throttle body. then I cut out two holes @ 1/4" in the piping, one for the pcv system and the other for the IAT sensor. Then i was done. my camera isn't working right now so I can't take any pictures but making ur own air intake should be pretty self-explanatory, just use the stock intake as your template and go from there.
