Hi all i have a 1997 pontiac sunfire with a 2.2L engine
one of my buddies told me to swap it for a 2.4 DOHC engine
and to take cams off a 2.3L motor to up the horse power
but i just dont know how to start i dont know where to find a complete engine with trans(manual)
do i need to do any wiring or does this engine just drop in like a honda engine. any info and any websites would be great help

what year 2.4l?
if its a 96-96 you need tranny,engine(alt,water pump etc),ecu,rad hoses.cool res,upper mount,engine harness...and speedo with tach...
if its a 00+ - 02(non eco) you need all that above and the bcm, fuel tank,body harness...dash...you have to take the inside of the car apart...

Yeah, no.
You don't need the BCM, fuel tank, or dash. You'd just have to use a 99 PCM since the 2000+ don't have an EGR.
