so when i got my exhaust done the shop told me the put a resonator on. i had no idea what that was so i was just like ok. so i took my car to mieneke last year and they said i need a new flex pipe. is a resonator and a flex pipe the same thing. if not where can i get a good resonator
Flex pipe is infront of the cat converter. Also no a resonator and flex pipe are not the same thing. the flex pipe is there so it's easier on the exhaust because of movement and vibration of the engine. the resonator cleans up the sound of the exhaust.

you don't need a flex pipe if you have solid mounts.
