i have a 2.4L DOHC in my cavalier right now. i would like to get a 2.2L ECOtec motor and install it. what would i have to do to the PCM to have the car accept this swap.
swap everything over to your car from a donor car. including ECU, PCM, whatever else

Any particular reason you want to swap? Swapping a 2.4l for the eco seems like a waste to me.
Anyways, if you use your search button and look under performance (all dates) for "ecotec faq" you will turn up a FAQ on the swap.
