Hey guys im wating to buy a cold air intake..looking at a bomz racing cai but they only have ones for 2.2 that i want, but the 2.2 and 2.4 look identical...so would it matter if i got one or the other??

Depends on the 2.2... Ecotec 2.2L is closer to the 2.4L than the older 2.2's (pushrod type). Might work, might take some modification.

For example... a 2.2L in your year (2001) was the LN2 or 2200 motor... TOTALLY different throttle body location compared to a 2.4L. Wouldn't work well at all.

Keep in mind that most Ebay sellers... Bomz especially... use a generic picture. It might not even be for a J-car!! (I've seen Civic strut tower bar pics used when selling Cavalier strut tower bars.. they look sort of similar.. IF YOU'RE DRUNK lol....)

lol thanks alot for the post, helped out alot, well i think ill just get a 2.4 cai off ebay and slap a K&N filter on it...al li really want is the tubing to set it up
