Just wondering if anyone knows what kind of horse and mileage gains i would get with a throttle body spacer on a 97 2.4L
I highly doubt anyone has dyno'ed one. So hp gains are out of the question.
Sorry, didn't mean to come off as a jerk about it... but J-body owners rarely dyno individual parts.
-2, its a waste of money.

to find out a cheap and effictive way, go buy a gtech from gtechpro.com and test before and after a throttle body spacer, if it dont work, go and sell it to someone who is a idiot! nuff said
someone dynoed it before and it was the same thing as when the jet chip ALLEGED performance module was dynoed twice and, the venom 400 dynoed twice.
both fell WAY far from their gains.
TB spacer is junk. but if you plan on nitrous, you can drill the spacer instead of your intake

A TB spacer is NOT junk... Their just useless on new vehicles. On TBI injected vehicles they DO provide noticeable gains. My OBS 94 Silverado for example has beffnifited from one. Easier to break the tires loose now, and midrange is much more responsive.
even the ones that have the spiral flow design don't do anything?
a TB spacer is junk. at least for us J owners

i gained 500 hp from 1 , they are the best thing sicne peanut butter
isnt a throttle body spacer useless on all vehicles except for tbi engines since new jbodies only flow air through there throttle body? unless like stated above you drill holes in it and plumb nitrous into it, besides doesnt a throttle body spacer really doesnt give you more power just moves your power up in the rpm range, at least thats what I have always been told.

would probably be down, not up...

better a delay than a disaster.
spacers work better on wet manifolds , ie..... carb'ed or throttle body style injection set ups
