ok hey everyone whats up ... i'm to the point to where i don't care what my car looks like anymore . i just want perfomance . ... now right now i have a 2001 pontiac sunfire with the 2200 motor and the 4 speed auto . .. my mods as of now are pacesetter header running straight pipe no cat 2 1/4 inch to a camaro style muffler with tip .. a weapon r intake with a performance air filtr from autozone the b&m shift plus and the upper engine mount . eibach sportline springs with koni yellos being installed thursday . with rims and tires . front and rear strut bars . thats about it . i'm trying to think what would be a good upgrade to what i have ... i was thinking the yank stall converter or some light weight pullies .. or maybe a stage 2 cam ... what yall think ? any opinions or comments greatly appreciated . thanks

well first, put a cat on it. K&N ONLY for air filters. you can get a cam from JbodyPerformance.com but you do know that you have to pull the motor to install it. You can get the 1.6 rockers from Howell Automotive. If you want a pulley, the only one I recommend is the RSM Racing pulley. Get the lower mount first though.

Just had the RSM Pulley installed and didn't notice any difference, but I'm sure it'll be worth it in the long run.

so a high flow cat would make a difference on my car?? if it will then i will do it u know .. and yes i know i would have to pull the motor for the cam . i'm trying to stay out of the internals till i'm ready to build it up . i have the lower mount also its laying in my back seat . i take it out when i'm not raing my car and put it in when i am .. to many vibrations for everyday driving for me . my friend owns a mechanic shop so its only a maybe 3 min install . so no big deal . i think i will just save up for a cavi connetion base turbo kit and run maybe 5 psi till i do more work to the internals and get the inercooler . i feel it would be a better investment to get the turbo kit . i don't really care for the price of the kit i wish i could get it cheaper but i know u get what u pay for and i know cavi connection is the best for turbokits for the 2200 . well i think i answered my own question . sorry everyone . but thanks for yall comments and opinions .

the mount is a 10 minute job with a floorjack and an impact. the vibes are seriously not bad man. you'll get used to them. you think interior vibes are bad? wait till you ride around in a car with a really stiff spring rate.

my hood. my bumper. my steering wheel. my dash. my radar detector fell off once. um... oh and my car sounds like it's cammed. people look at me funny and my car isn't even remotely fast yet.

I'm with spot of this...the only thing on the car that doesn't shake for me is the tails. The vibes don't bother me, just the shaking hood. lol

both mounts, 4-5" drop on ebay coils and stock shocks . I had people that wouldn't even ride in my car because of the vibrations.

..,.id suggest completing one part of the project at the time. finish the suspension, then tackle the motor, or vice versa. youll save money this way. also, youll save your car's downtime. youll be much happier this way. (take it from a guy who learned the hard way.)

suspension is done on my car ... springs struts and strut bars .. suspension is checked off on my list ... who hooo .. lol the exterior is done to except for repainting it ... but my friend gonna do it for free .. next on my list is performance . still not to sure if i gonna turbo or NA ... when i get my spare 2200 i will see .... if i turbo i gonna go with the cavi connection turbo kit with inercooler and plan to run maybe 12 psi with full internalls . . if i go NA i'm probly gonna bore it out .40 over and up the compression to bout 11:1 with all the internals and run 100 shot of nitrous for the track .. thats the 2 directions i'm debating to go ... we will see .. if anyone has and suggestions please let me know .. thanks for all comments .

i wouldnt go .40 over. by doing that you have thinner clyinder walls. you run a great chance of haveing something go wrong. like a piston thru the block. go with like .20 over

Or if you want to take most of the thinking out of the process I believe JBP sells a fully built short block with a 12:1 compression ratio if you're going NA. I'm with you though, torn both ways. NA would be cheaper, but boost is more fun.

boring .30 over is about the maximum i would recommend. and even if you bore it .30 over, i'd make sure you have it posted.

and no by posting i don't mean posting on a message board.
