Ok so I can get my hands on a 2.3L quad 4 motor.

I just wanted to check if it's a direct swap into a 98 z24.

If not what do I need to make it work? Does it work with my ecu or do I need to get that too. And should I go with my tranny or the HO tranny?

keep your tranny, need the ecu from the HO, mounting brakets a little diff., and i think you need the wiring harness

you need a 95 Ecu (easier). you need to rewire the 98 wiring harness and splice it to fit the 95 Ecm.

The mount are the same (you need a 92-94 Ho). The Gtz tranny is way better than the Z24 tranny.

You need to find out if it's a real Ho and not an Lo. You'll need to check the piston from the spark plug hole to see if there is 2 valves reliefs on the pistons.

The PS pump is not the same so you'll have to modify the hoses. A bigger radiator is suggested.
