Removing Air Conditioning...
Sunday, September 18, 2005 9:02 AM

Well since my A/C clutch is toast, I figure I may as well just remove the entire A/C system and save a few lbs so does anyone happen to know the p/n for a/c delete pulley and bracket? I cant seem to find the freaking thing anywhere other than Mantapart and well, I dont want to have deal with them.

Thanks,
Owen

GM's part number is 24574519, and GM Parts Direct has it for $35.80.

They list it as a "water pump pulley", but I double checked and that is the correct part number.

well i removed my compressor and did not use the delete pulley.......i put a bigger pulley on the tensioner and used a smaller belt of course.......my tensioner actually acts as a idler pulley....i dont use the side of the tenisoner that supllies tension....and when i put the belt on i have to turn the crank and walk the belt around......cost me all of like 20 bucks to swap pulleys and a new belt......alot of people say it cant be done but it can......
