search for your best answers. i and others have covered this better then i can talk about in this post.
If you want to get rid of a code you have to use a OBDII scanner or you can simply disconnect your battery for about 30-60 minutes to reset the tables. Now, if you're talking about getting rid of something all together so your computer doesn't throw a CEL, your dealership can't help you with that. I believe you're thinking of doing some type of reflash...when a dealership does a reflash, they can only do pre-set reflashes and can't alter it themselves.

no i dont mean just clear it out where it will come back i mean totally delete it out of the system so it is as if there is no code to be set off i think my code was p1406 couldnt that just be deleted where it is not even in the computer

Ok, that's not possible unless you were to get some type of custom reflash or something. Maybe you can contact Jbodyperformance and see if it's possible with their OBDII reflash.

i have the same problem with my s/c on my 96. i just clear the egr code when i start the car each time and it dont come back till i shut down the car/ start it back up.
it would most likely be illegal to delete that secondary o2 seeing that is has to do with emissions. its there to make sure the cat is doing its job. ive heard if you just take it out and hang it under the car that it wont throw the code. but then you have to plug the hole of course.
all i want is to be able to start my car and have no cel and ets off light because if any bodies noticed your cooling fan stays on from the time you start it with the cel so im going to try to get it deleted if it doesnt work im just going to override the cooling fan with a switch untill a final solution

Your fan comes on depending on the code, not just on any CEL.

I've heard that dealerships can do that with a tech 2, but they get in big trouble by doing so. That is just what i have heard though
fan comes on with any check engine light.
like i said, i just delete the code when i start up the car and it runs fine. sorta stupid but that is what i found to make the car run the best after messing with the egr simulator.
96 computers are not our friends.
emissions- my area dont have testing.
same here emissions dont matter to me because they dont check them
