2.2 OHV CAI induction dynamics question

Well I got a screaming good deal on an induction dynamics cold air intake for my 02 cavi. Well the tube is rubbing on my hood and the intake is getting a make where the coating on the tube is coming off. Is there any way to prevent or fix this or do I just have to deal with it or switch to another CAI?

I just put in my AEM CAI earlier this week and i have not had any clearance issues with anything at all. I love it. did you make sure the intake is all the way on the TB? if its on the TB try raising the little rubber stop things that prop the front of the hood. You can raise them enough to clear the intake, but you might have some fitment issues between the hood and the fender. hope that helps some.

Yes. Go down to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts or whatever place you have there that is cheap and get some adhesive backed foam weather stripping. I put it one my hood where my ID intake was rubbing, and also on the body and the battery where the pipe passes between them. No more bad rubs. Definitely worth it. I would also recommend putting it around where the pipe passes through to the wheel well.

Fuzzy logic is one of my favorite ways to deal with things that are pissing me off like that.
