Have any of you guys replaced your timing chain on a 97 2.2 cavy? If so did you have to pull the engine out of the engine bay to acess the timing chain housing or what? Thanks

im not an expert on the 2.2L but im still pretty much 100% sure its not necessary, its not necessary on the 2.4L and I know its easier to fix on the 2.2L.

write up on how to change your tensioner/chain.
I would reccomend that you buy a GM tensioner and chain. The aftermarket stuff made by clevite and melling haven't lasted as long as the OEM stuff in my car.
