Engine swap question

hey guys im farly new to this game and i need to know what is goin to be my best option on an engine swap for my ride i will take any and all advice posibile i have a 94 cavalier base and im looking to drop a manual trans and a new engine into it now i can get a trans fairly cheap but im needing info on witch motor i should go with please some body help if you can email me at killerbeege@comcast.net

I suggest the ECOTEC motor from an 03+ car (because of the whole fuel rail issue). I also suggest the ECOTEC motor because of it's support by GM and Aftermarket companies. There are more products out for this motor than there is for the 2.4 motor and honestly, the 2.4 motor is an "old motor" and very hard to find with low miles. If you get an ECO you will have one with low mileage and it will be real cheap.

Just for the record, I'm not saying this because I have an ECOTEC motor but because I'm looking at it in a wide perspective.

2nd gen... you don't have a "small" engine bay like us third gen's...

Stuff a 3.8 s/c in there but it'll be auto... not like you'd need a 5 speed with one of those LOL

My mistake LOL I didn't see that you had a 94 cavalier. Do what Lenko said...get a 3800 motor and swap that bad boy in.
