question is mostly out of curiousity, may help some. What is the huge difference on pulleys? for example RSM's 2.4/2.2L crank pulleys vs. a e-bay bombz or some other off brande. both state they reduce weight etc. etc. both out of aluminum. 12 ozs or so. but is there a huge difference besides the price? rsm being 160ish bombz/ebay 50ish.

That's a good question.
Just like any "cheap" product that's on ebay, quality comes into mind. You have to think why are they so much cheaper than other companies like RSM. Well your talking about your crank pulley which is a critical part that goes on your motor. If they cut corners and say it doesn't support the pulley properly...that can equal problems.
Mainly a common sense kind of thing and from personal experience, I stick to companies that I've heard of, companies that I know people have dealt with & companies that are more j-body related. RSM Racing is a defenite company that is very Jbody related and supports us greatly.
Spending a couple more dollars for a part from a reputable company is worth it to me & will give me less headaches. That's just my opinion.

For the 2.4:
The ebay (RK Sport?) 'Bomz' are the heaviest somewhere between 1.2 to 1.85 pounds.
They are also the 'thickest'. Meaning folks sometimes had trouble getting their wheel linings back on or some junk.
Unorthodox is at 14 oz
And RSM is 12 oz

Now RSM sells a stock sized crank pulley. But not sure the weight on it.

ive seen one claimed to be exactly 1 pd on ebay. price isn't really the issue just curious why since 90% of the ones ive seen use the same metal rating and such. Im getting a rsm one reguardless just curious why such huge price differences..

best advice i can give you would be to go with RSM's pulley. I know for a fact that it is the lightest on the market for stock size pulley (which is what you want in order to prevent charging system problems).
