Yes because you'll have more power and more torque. You should be able to spin now...

Of course you will, I only have an AEM CAI and Magnflow Cat Back and I can even spin my tires, my cars an automatic too if that makes any difference. So with a Header, TB and 2.5" exhaust you should most definetly be able to spin your tires.

I don't have any mods on my 2.4 yet and i can spin them everytime. And you have the same plan i'm going with so i'm sure we'll both be spinning them a lot more.

Why do you purposely want to spin your tires? Sure sometimes it happens, but I myself prefer to not burn off the rubber that I spent hundreds on.

Like everyone said, spinning tires cost money but unless you are in a burnout competition or something along those lines I wouldn't want to spin them because it just means i'm breaking traction which in my eyes is a bad thing. Thats just me though.

Seeing as though the chances of you significantly screwing your torque band to hell while gaining some pittance of upper rpm power is quite possible, you may just find spinning your TIRE a little bit harder than you think.

^^^^ heheheh, yeah, cant wait to get my lsd insert from team green. but yes, youll spin some rubber, the bottom end of your powerband shouldnt suffer that much. you could get poly mounts in addition to get some back...

Yeah, motor mounts add power. (*sarcasm)

Thanks for continuing to misinform people.

Some might but I really don't see you posting in a ton of topics so I don't know why you are so upset. Honestly, most people don't do searches...they see a forum and they are new here, they are going to post and ask a question. Alot of these people are somewhat hesitant to even post because people give attitudes if they say something or ask something wrong and then BOOM people jump all over them...for example this guy who wants to "spin his tires". Sure...you wouldn't want to spin your tires but you don't know this person or how they drive. Maybe he wants to spin them twice a month for all you know and not ever day. I myself like to peel out when I come out of the car wash but that's another topic.

The fact is if people didn't post the "same thing over and over" than you would see MUCH less activity in most of these forums. A lot of times people ask a question but they use it more towards what they are doing or can't find a reasonable answer through searches and would personally like people to respond to them.

So really...why complain about something that isn't going to change? Either you answer their question or you don't....posts like yours aren't productive or helpful in any manner. This isn't an attack against you but this is how I feel about what you posted.

actually he wasnt misinforming anyone. perfromance engine mounts DO RECOVER LOST hp and tq because the engine isnt moving around as much, energy is wasted when the engine moves.

Adios cavalier.

Re: low end torque

I wish I could STOP spinning my TIRE. It's too easy. If I am in first gear, and I step on it there's always a squeel, and I can't even think of turning a corner. If I'm trying to make a quick start and accidentally let the clutch out at above 1200 rpm RPM just goes right up to about 6000 and stays there., espcially on cement surfaces. I want a LSD.

wow guys i didnt expect so man replies. I was trying to say will i have low end enough to rip them and still have extreme acceleration. some are saying that a tb and header kill low end torque. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO STILL RIP EM WITH THOSE UPGRADES thats all thanks for all the input

Thank You

Re: low end torque

I'd go with a 4-2-1 header and stay between 56-59mm for the TB. You won't loose too much low end torque and should get some good top end HP gains.

....and thank you, 03cavyboy, lol. I never said either amount ADDED power, simply recover a bit of torque that was lost. i know iv'e seen a dyno result from the old rk forum that showed it recovoed 10 lb/ft? or so. i think people who say they dont recover anything have never had em on their cars. i own em both, and i know my car grabbed a whole lot better off the line with them...it's like saying a flywheel or a pulley doesnt add power...maybe not add, but can free up what was there. i just care about performance.

to keep is short and simple, dont run out and get the largest

TB
Intake
Header
Exhaust piping

and you should be fine....

stay small to small/medium to keep air flow and exhaust flow fast...

part reason why forced induction have lower end more than not is because the air flow and exhaust flow is like a bullet.
