i have a ?. i had a cold air setup. i recently took it off because of what ppl are saying that it is just as good as wai. what i did was took my filter and placed it directly on the throttle body and put my iat sensor in the filter and it feels like i have lost power but im not sure. the cold air setup was directly from throttle body to under fender.

those setups usually offer no velocity into the tb... so the loss of velocity, and not having the iat in an actual stream of air....

kinda a step back, losing alot of low end... hence your power lost...


although it may be different up top end, very top end, and you prob make alot of noise.... i;ve tried that already.

actually the sensor is in the stream of air i didnt put the sensor at the top but cut a hole in the neck of it. it does make alot of noise, i have had the cold air piece off and tried it that way, basically a wai. and i always go back to my cold air. mine is the rksport cold air and i took off the box on the valve cover that said 2200 on it and put pipe from the throttle bodie to the rk intake. and it seams to me that that way has given me the best performance. but cant b shure. havent dinoed yet
