i just got the 2.3L cams for the secret cam swap. my car isn't that old so im asuming that not a lot of stuff on it is broken that i will need to replace while doing the swap. but what are the parts that im deffinatally going to need to do the swap, i was hoping to get it done this week so for anybody thats done the swap already got any helpful hits that might make it a little easier.

Gaskets... you'll need the cam carrier gasket sets (either GM or aftermarket... fel pro?). GM says to replace the lifters if you change the cams.

Power steering pump gasket.

Blue threadlock.

Cam lube.

Oil additive for new cams.

I did my cams, head, and water pump all at the same time. At the least, I'd say do the water pump since you're already into the timing chain assembly while doing the cam swap. Save you time, money, effort later. Just get a NON-GM water pump
