i have a 99 z24 and i just bought a pacesetter header a magnaflow hiflow cat and i already had a magnaflow cat back. I want to add a resonator to take away some raspiness and quiet it down and i no its gonna be alot louder since the header and cat so what size resonators are everyone running, i want to get magnaflow if possible and i still want a nice deep sound but not to quiet so i cant hear it. i was thinking a 18'' or maybe a 22'', so can anyone help me out on what size to get and maybe even a part # from magnaflow

16 or 18 inch 2.25" diamater resonator will work nicely. You can order them from Summit Racing for cheap!

Just measure from the back of the cat to the first bend of the main pipe and then get a resonator that is that long. The longer the better it is going to sound. If you go with anything shorter than 18", don't bother. With the header on there, it is going to need the biggest resonator you can fit to keep it from being annoying.
Most people tend to find 18" resonators to work really well. So I'd go for it.

i went with a 30. horsepower makes noise, noise doesnt make hp.
i have a 25" and would have gone longer if they had them in stock when i bought it. i could not imagine how much i would dislike mine at 18", almost a third less.
How does it work? The longer it is the quieter the sound is? I want to kill all my raspiness but still have it be deep and loud.
its basically a muffler, the bigger it is, the more sound absorbing stuff inside, the less crappy sound thats emitted.
as long as your car has power it will make sound.
like said above...

it's not bad, only thing i don't like aboot my exhaust is the polished tip but i won't spend money to replace it unless i see something that i like. i don't care what the other people on the road think anyways.
as far as sound goes it is not raspy and for normal driving (under 3k) most people probably won't know it is changed from stock, unless they see it.
