Ok, I've got the gauge, I've got the oil pressure sender, I've got it all pretty much wired up, I just want to know how other people have gone about installing it on their 2.4's.
Pics, advice, etc. are welcome.
I tried hooking mine up this last weekend for gits and shiggles, I couldn't get the extension pipe to thread on with the wire harness there, and I had some place I had to be, so I gave up. Next day I went out to the car and there was a HUGE puddle of oil running out from under it, the head was filled with oil, spark plug holes were filled, oil all over the tranny, it was everywhere. Apparently when I put in the new stock oil pressure sensor, it backed itself out far enough to spray oil all over the freakin place.
Moral of the story: Make sure everything up there is tight...

1. I did search but didn't find what I was looking for.
2. Posting, "you should search" or other types of similar messages don't answer questions.
look for a post made by me on this topic... under Freebs or Freeebs (one has 3 e's) i cant remember what account i was on but 97cavie24ls(JDM cav sedan™) has a good picture of his engine and where to hook it up
I've only done this on my other car, not a Cavi, but generally you just install a 'T' fitting in place of the oil stock oil pressure sender, and then put the stock sender on one side, and the aftermarket guage one on the other side. Shouldn't really be any harder than that.

there is a fitting on the block near the timing cover on the 2.4 on the firewall side of the motor
i wasnt trying to be a hard sss , but this question has been asked alot recently
i said to search here and in boost , because im not sur where the post was
my user name here is the same on my car domain site , there is pics of the motor sitting on a engine stand , and the oil line is a 1/8" copper line
Did you get a manual gauge or electrical? It goes on the head either way. You do not have to have a T fitting (unless you really want to). I have never hooked a oil pressure gauge on a J and used a T fitting. I always junk the stock sending unit. I can try to take some pictures tonight if you want to emaile me.
