low profile muffler

I am planning on doing a side exit exhaust, but amd having a hard time finding mufflers. I want something low profile. flat as possible. I am running 2 or 2 1/2 piping and need something that wont hang to low. there isnt a lot of room there. and i will be running air ride soon so i dont want anything that is going to hang lower than the side skirts so i can lay them on the ground. just curious if anyone knows of any good mufflers at a decent price that fit my needs. any help is greatly apreciated.

thanks

flowmaster hushpowerII? kinda pricey, but pretty slim I think, should fit in the exhaust tunnel

if you can find a magnaflow 30 inch resonator, all you will need is that. thats one of the resonators i have, which is right after the cat, and does the majority of the quieting in my setup.

What so just have the cat, then resonator and thats it? Besides the side exiting pipe of course. I've been thinking bout doing a side exit too, thats why I ask.

this isnt even for my cav its for my golf. but either way...i lowered my golf about 2 inches all the way around and the exhaust hits the rear cross member. i pulled it up as best i could there just isnt enough room back there. so on hard accelorating when the rear dips theres an annoying rattle. same when people are in the back seat. the audio back there doesnt help out either. but i figured the side exit will look sweet with some nice rectangle tips and it will solve all my problems. allowing me to sit it down later on too without the exhaust getting in the way above the rear cross member.

thanks for the help. maybe i will look into the resanator and some nice baffled tips. that should do it. its only a 2.0 anyway. and im not worried about power on this one. theres nothing to be had. until i do a vr6 swap.

thanks again
