This has happened twice now this year.
After a damp night with rain and stuff, when I go out to start the car in the morning to goto work the car runs horrible. Feels like its going to stall but dosen't, chugs real bad when I try and step on it, I think it even backfires a little.
Any idea what might be causing this? Or if this is a known issue? Someone told me it just be a sensor? After a few hours of sitting it'll run perfect again. Strange.
Thanks guys.
this is a blind guess.... but i recall seeing a Q and A thing in popular mechanics about this exact issue a few months ago. the cause was supposedly moisture collecting around the plug wires and causing them to short out (with the sparks jumping out of the wires.) To see if you have this problem, go to a place where its COMPLETELY dark.. no streetlights, etc, start your engine, and use a squirtbottle to mist the plug wires. If you can see little blue spiderwebby sparks, thats your problem. New plug wires should cure this.
Ive always heard of cars having trouble starting when its wet- to be a cracked distributor housing...
Being as you dont have a dist., definately look into your spark- Like mentioned above.

do you have a cold air intake?
Rob - I will check into that, maybe even try that tonight. I know I am due for new plugs and wires so maybe that is the problem?
Jason - no I have a cone filter on the factory s-tube tho. WAI?
John - No MSD
Thanks for the replies guys.
