I was woundering what is the best oil to go with i am hitting 60,000 miles and i want a good oil? Also when i change the plugs and wires do i have to change the distributer cap what is the best plug too go with i have no engine mods

Well, Mobil 1 currently enjoys the distinction of being the only readily available true PAO synthetic motor oil. Amsoil is also a true PAO synthetic oil, but it is harder to find. Basically all this means is that the other synthetics, like Penzoil and Castrol, are not REALLY synthetic, a fact that most people do not think about and the cause of multiple lawsuits.

I use mobil 1 in every car at my house, and I am a believer in it. And no it is never too late to switch over, it's just better to early.

Now as far as when to change your oil, if your car burns no oil, every 5,000 to 8,000 miles is fine unless your turbo'd, then make sure its every 5,000. If you do burn a little oil, be sure to keep it topped off ALL THE TIME, and you can go up to 10,000 miles between changes. Make sure to change the filter though about halfway. People who are over zealous on oil changes are actually doing a bad thing to their car.

None of the other oils concern me, but we use Valvoline VR1 racing oil 20-50 in our sprint cars, and if I was to use a non synthetic I would use Valvoline.
