Hello,
I went to a speedshop today looking for a good performance mufller. I want a black performance muffler. I don't want anything flashy and chrome,cops around here don't like chrome mufflers. The guy told me about Vortex mufflers being very awesome. There are not so expensive also, 135$ cdn.
So does anyone have an opinion on these Vortex mufflers???

do you have a link? specs information anything? besides, 95% of the difference made in exhaust flow is from your header and catback. just adding a muffler does nothing but make noise.

That's one of the POS Canadian tire is selling. If you take a good look inside, they are nothing more than a resonator and a big waste of money. If you want a good gain, get a real muffler. Hooker Header muffler are cheap and really good (they are legal in canada). I got mine from Canadian tire but I took a look inside first and did some research.

I wouldn't call a stainless steele muffler flashy. For the most part, if you get a oval style mufflers, you won't even see it unless your looking hard enough.
Also, I doubt that the cops hate the "flashy" mufflers but they hate the sound of most "flashy" mufflers.

Got three (3) tickets ranging from 75$ to 190$ for illegal muffler (Ractive). Nothing to do about it, this is why I am looking for a black performance muffler.The cops are looking for mufflers in the most part. Not really hearing it. God I love Canada. end/sarcasm

Thank you for your overall comments/suggestions.I bought the muffler today, will be installing it this week. Will be used with RK Sport header and stainless steel catback. Posting pics and feedback this week.
