Im looking for a machinest on here that has done a 95 2.2 tb before..i think that the 300 usd one from rsm is crazy so i am looking for someone that can do this for a better price and if i get a good enough one i might have more tb to do..phil
look in your yellow pages and call around. Look in automotive and look for machine shops. That is what I did. My throttle body is being done for $40.00. Shop around and dont try to get to cheap , look for a good reputable shop.
$40??? hell i can afford that lol
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
yah i took it to a machine shop the only one in the area and they messed it up..they bored through at 54mm so it was going to cost me huge money to fix it..i have one more spare but would like it done right and done..so if anyone does this please let me know..i will gladly send it to you so it can be done..phil

That's exactly why you should buy one from a company that knows what they are doing and has experience working on a throttle body for your motor.

$300 might seem alot but you get most of it back cause your mainly paying for the core charge. You send them your stock throttle body and you get your core charge payment back so it equals out.

^^^acually it is 300 plus 100 for core charge so its 300 for the tb..not cheap for about 1 hr of machine work...phil

i believe they are cleaning, inspecting, boring, sleeving, then the plate.
its not just drilling out a hole and then adding a plate or 1 hr of machine work.
well i was told 40 mins by the machine shop here but they messed mine up...i didnt know rsm sleeved thiers...jbp looks better since they are in canada too,,maybe ill o with them since they are 100 cheaper....anyone have this mod and think its worthwhile??phil
its only worthwhile if you think it is... aka gotta buy and try. its like all the posts you;ve seen lately on pulleys. small piece to the puzzle. some expect supernatural gains.
worthwhile?
some dont, some do.....
however most that DO also have other mods to support it. anytime you increase volume, and keep or increase velocity its a good thing.
also check the size of the jbodyperformance one.... not listed on their site...

Actually your price is wrong. They say exactly this:
62mm Throttle Body -
Incl $100 Core - $310
So your really paying $210 after you get your core charge money back. If you do it on
High Rev, they will give you store credit. See if you can find another website soure.
You can either go Jbody performance or High Rev/RSM Racing...good companies.

just like changing the header and adding a cat-back but leaving the stock pipe on the cat and the stock cat... you still have a bottle neck.
"There is no point in looking fast if your not."
well i kinda have the mods to support it...i have an intake and catback but dont have the header yet....i was just hoping someone on here did it and could do it in thier spare time..i guess ill just have to go with jbp...they seem the best route for me...thanks anyways guys..phil
What I did was run to the local junk yard and paid 20 bucks for upper piece (which has throttle body attached) and lower piece of the intake manifold so I could get this done. The reasoning was if they messed it up then it was really just costing me 10 bucks. I wont pay for something that is jacked up. so basically if it works I would only be spending a total of 58 dollars, instead of 310. I know I'm a cheap arse, but if it works then it would been a cheap mod.
