Well okay should i either get piping 2.25" from the cat to the muffler which I already have a flowtech muffler and a resonator, or should I get a front tower brace, aht do you guys suggest first?

Out of the 2 things you suggested, I would do the piping. I believe you will enjoy the performance over just 1 tower brace bar (which I have both of so I know from experience).

well see i've already got the car lowerd on KYB AGX's and eibach prokit, and i'd probalby add in the rear brace as well.

when doing exhaust, it's best to do the whole package. from header back. your exhaust only flows as good as its smallest diameter. you will notice a small gain from opening up the catback, however the best possible performance can be done by header (preferably 4-2-1 for low and mid gains), included b pipe, highflow cat (your stock cat is fine for now) and the 2.25" catback.

It's your decision really. If I were in your shoes, I'd get the hard part over with and do something that will be more fun for you which is picking up some more horsepower. The strut bar won't do that much in all honesty by itself. If you had the front and back, that will make a slight difference. Being lower already has improved your handling so go for more power.

He's right also, it will also save on cash for installation.

well.. you can install a header yourself. it's not really a big deal. install the header and get the b pipe bolted up to your cat then take the car to an exhaust shop and have them run custom 2.25" piping. they will probably charge you anywhere from $90 to $150 depending on shop

very true, i'd like to get the headers and the piping right now but all i have money for rihgt now is the piping...i'm just doing it piece by piece...and plus i know a person that will help me weld i up cheap n/p there...just needed to know what you guys thought...thanx though and i figured the tower braces wouldn't help much...i've been entering my car into car shows lately and i was just sorta getting into looks some too...thats the reason i was thinking the front strut tower brace because it adds a nice look in the engine bay as well so its good for two points handeling and looks.

also how much of gain would i gain from that piping? I already have an AEM CAI and that flowtech muffler so how much of a gain would i gain from the bigger diamter in piping?

it's hard to say what you would / could gain from just an increase in piping. the only real way to tell would be dyno before and after.
at least you got an ecotec. the header isn't as noticable because well... the motor is ass backwards. however, going faster is more fun than some guy staring at your engine going... "cool..."

yeah, it looks pretty nice in the engine bay but you'd enjoy your exhaust system upgrade much more.

There is nothing wrong with doing it piece by piece. That's how I did mine. I did my mufflers, then piping, then header & cat. Wasn't that much of money for installation but if I did all at once it would have saved me some. I think it was good for me cause I didn't know what I wanted to get or do exactly (as far as products to get).

You can never really say how much power or an exact # amount. The only TRUE way is by dynoing your vehicle. Lets just say, you'll get a nice gain from it and it will put a smile on your face.

Well guys thats probalby what i'll do first then, shouldn't cost me much for the install...and i'm hoping for at least a 5 hp gain, and maybe some more down low torque...i need it since i'm an auto...

Yeah, you need all the power you can get. Good luck.

2.25" piping unless you are boosted.

well should i get a glass pack before the muffler to kill the "bees" or will have a deep tone without a glass pack?

No, there is no real need to have it. If you get a good oval style muffler, you shouldn't have a bad raspy car. Check out Magnaflow or Borla.

Is that an oval style muffler or canister style?
You should be ok in all honesty. I have a 2 1/2" inch exhaust system (from header back) and it's really not all that loud because my mufflers tone it down but it screams at high rpms.

Well good thing it is an oval canister...spotabee recommeneded 2.25" though would it be better to go 2.5" or would that kill my low end power?

Go with 2 1/4"...it's recommended more for N/A applications but if you plan on boosting in the near future get 2 1/2". Having 2 1/2" won't hurt but performance with a 2 1/4" N/A will produce more overall power.
