I have a 2.4 auto and currently have a flowmaster 60 series, and want to know if i'am losing power due to the flowmaster not being straight through? I bought the flowmaster because i have a automatic and didn't want it to sound horrible. Any suggestions on a better muffler for my car?

A Couple things. Having an automatic doesn't effect how your car sounds. Also, having just a muffler, your barely affecting your performance but I'm also assuming that a muffler is your only modification.

If you really want advice, get rid of those mufflers. I had those mufflers and one of them ended up making a high pitch ringing noise cause something broke inside of it. Besides the ringing noise, I decided to get Magnaflow mufflers...it was a world of a difference. My car drove much smoother and was deeper and clearer sounding. I noticed this difference though because I have alot of modifications to my car.

loud exhaust=
header / b pipe / high flow cat / any rice muffler

quiet exhaust =
header / 18" long 2.25" resonator, 2.25" catback, straight through muffler

it depends on what you like. if you check out my setup and you want a quiet car... don't do it. my car is loud as @!#$.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
