I ordered my magnaflow cat, resonator and muffler. I already have a 4-1 header and downpipe, now all I need is the 2.25" mandrel bent piping to hook it all up. I see that mantapart has the piping on their website, but mantapart is very hard to get a hold of and I need this exhaust rather quickly because my stock cat is going. Any suggestions on where to get the piping??

local exhaust shop can do it for you.
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
I've called 4 different local exhaust shops and they can only crush bend. One of the guys told me that I wouldn't find a mandrel bender in a shop. So i'm looking for a place online.

Mandrel benders are like $30,000 for a cheap one, so thats why you won't find it local. Find a local shop that will do compression bent pipe, for 2.25" its almost exactly like mandrel. For such a small pipe, and an NA engine, you won't see any gains over compression with mandrel bending, and it will be a waste of money on your part. Even on my engine, with the turbo going on, I'm going with 2.5" compression bent pipe because the way they bend it, its almost mandrel.
Crushed bent is the stuff that makes wrinkles in the pipe, compression just makes the diameter in the bend a little smaller, and mandrel is the same all around.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
Mandrel benders are rare only large companies can afford them and have the room to keep them in. Mandrel benders keep the pipe the same size around bends as it was before the bending occurred. How you ask? Well, the bender instead of a compession bender that just uses hydraulic arms to bend the pipe around a rounded surface. The Mandrel bender has an arm that goes inside the pipe, which is actually called the Mandrel and is where it gets its name. The mandrel a slinky looking thing goes inside and keeps the pipe at the bend from folding in or loosing diameter.

Yea i've called around and no shops seem to know about compression bending. Looks like I'll just go with the crush bent for now.. thanks.

E-bay man!
Type in:
"Mandrel Pipe"
There you'll find some nice ones.
I just bought the $14.50 U-Bend 2.5in x4.
In my case this will come out cheaper, All I need is strait pipes which the local exhaust shop already has.
Locally here they charge $40-50 per bend
, thats what happens when you are the only one that does this and becomes a monopoly.
Try it out!

^^^what he said....instead of getting the whole pipe bent as one piece, get probably 3 or 4 mandrel U bends from summit or ebay and have the exhaust shop cut it and weld it together along with some straight pipe to make a one piece exhaust. you'll have your mandrel bent exhaust and it'll probably turbo out cheaper than a fully bent one piece exhaust.

get compression bends. compression keeps pretty much all the same size, just distorts it. basically like going froma circle to an oval. like said, you wont see a difference between compression and mandrel.
crush bend, there are actually kinks in the pipe and you can see ridges on the outside.
when you see the work, you;ll be able to see what they do.

Your better off looking for a "Performance" shop. If you can't find one at all...save your cash and order up either a magnaflow or borla setup that's properly bent than spend your money on a crush bent exhaust setup that might mess up your exhaust flow and affect your performance.
By the way, NEVER order anything from Mantapart. Do a search on mantapart and you'll see why...

Yeah definitely, that's the last thing you want to do on something as important.
